Our mission is to promote all forms of Nordic skiing as a healthy activity for all ages and abilities. Among our core activities are maintaining and grooming over 140 kilometers of ski trails for recreation and touring, as well as performance skiing and racing.
Serving Anchorage's Nordic ski community requires the year-round commitment of a small but dedicated staff, hundreds of hard-working volunteers, and a fleet of specialized heavy equipment. More importantly, the generous support of our members and donors is what
makes all of this possible.

It started out as rain this morning and then the snow came...and it's been snowing ever since at Kincaid.  So, Craig is staying off the trails until it quits.  If you like skiing in fresh fallen snow, then today is the day!

The Hillside has only seen a few flakes and mostly a rain/snow mix as of early this afternoon.  Tom made a pass with the snow machine on the Lighted Loops on his way to the Tour trail where he'll be taking care of some brush and downed trees.  He hopes to make it to APU as well.  After dinner he'll take the snow cat out and groom all the trails on the Hillside.

The snow is coming down in Chugiak this afternoon, so Bill is waiting until it stops.

Should be some nice skiing on all the trails today for both classic and skating.  Have a good one!
