Our mission is to promote all forms of Nordic skiing as a healthy activity for all ages and abilities. Among our core activities are maintaining and grooming over 140 kilometers of ski trails for recreation and touring, as well as performance skiing and racing.
Serving Anchorage's Nordic ski community requires the year-round commitment of a small but dedicated staff, hundreds of hard-working volunteers, and a fleet of specialized heavy equipment. More importantly, the generous support of our members and donors is what
makes all of this possible.

The UAA/UAF Alaska Cup race is scheduled for Kincaid today.  In addition to grooming the course for the race, Craig has groomed the Lighted Loops, the Multi-Use trail, Easy Street and the S Turns.  He said they'll be a bit cobby, but there shouldn't be any crust and or ice on those trails.

Tom was out late last night grooming for a high school race at Service today.  On the Hillside he also groomed the Lighted Loops, Double Bubble and the Gasline.  He did not set new tracks on the Gasline.  Depending on the temperatures and precipitation, skiing should be decent on those trails.

It's still above freezing in Chugiak and Eagle River and Bill will continue to wait until the temperature drops before he breaks the ice on the trails.

Be careful today and ski with caution.  Have a good one!
