YOUR MEMBERSHIP MATTERS!

Our mission is to promote all forms of Nordic skiing as a healthy activity for all ages and abilities. Among our core activities are maintaining and grooming over 140 kilometers of ski trails for recreation and touring, as well as performance skiing and racing.
Serving Anchorage's Nordic ski community requires the year-round commitment of a small but dedicated staff, hundreds of hard-working volunteers, and a fleet of specialized heavy equipment. More importantly, the generous support of our members and donors is what
makes all of this possible.

KINCAID
Matt and Craig were both out this morning as the snow was falling.  The Lake Loop and the Horseshoe have been groomed with a single track.  The Mize, Margaux's, Lekisch and the Jodhpur have also been groomed.  Not sure if you'll be able to notice;)  Craig said the rest of the park is holding up well from yesterday's groom.  Enjoy!
HILLSIDE
Tom said there was about 3" of new snow since yesterday...and more falling.  He took a spin on the Lighted Loops and the Spencer.  His plan is to be off the trails by 3 pm and will have groomed the Richter and the Ridge by then.  He also intends to hit part of the Tour Trail.  Get it before it gets covered up again!
CHUGIAK/EAGLE RIVER
Bill is staying off the trails until tomorrow.  If you like to ski in unbroken snow...now is your chance!  Have fun!
"UWAX is Back" Kincaid weather hotline is back online 248-UWAX (248-8929) will give Time, Temp in F, Wind direction, wind speed & humidity. Listen closely, - Hal, the automated voice, is a bit hard to understand. Huge thank you to Karl Volz for making that happen.
