Our mission is to promote all forms of Nordic skiing as a healthy activity for all ages and abilities. Among our core activities are maintaining and grooming over 140 kilometers of ski trails for recreation and touring, as well as performance skiing and racing.
Serving Anchorage's Nordic ski community requires the year-round commitment of a small but dedicated staff, hundreds of hard-working volunteers, and a fleet of specialized heavy equipment. More importantly, the generous support of our members and donors is what
makes all of this possible.

Craig was out late this morning and broke the glaze on the skate lanes on the Mize, Jodhpur and Margaux's.  The dark trails are un-groomed so they should be pretty fast.  Great skiing for both classic and skating today.
Chuck took the snow machine out this morning and made a few passes on the Tour Trail and at APU.  The tracks are still holding.  Tom was on the Hillside and cleaned up the skate lanes and set new track on the Gasline, Besh Loop, Hillside Loop and Randy's Loop.  Everywhere else, he groomed the skate lanes. So, the skiing is great for both classic and skating.   Have fun!
Bill was out at Beach Lake Trails this morning and hit the skate lanes on the Bridge, Appendix, Corral Loop, North Pasture, Chalet Loop, Sprint Loop and the Swamp trail.  He said the tracks looked a little icy, but were still well formed.  The sun is beating down, so have fun while it lasts!
FRIDAY:Bill was out and groomed the trails at Bartlett for both classic and skating.  Enjoy!
