YOUR MEMBERSHIP MATTERS!

Our mission is to promote all forms of Nordic skiing as a healthy activity for all ages and abilities. Among our core activities are maintaining and grooming over 140 kilometers of ski trails for recreation and touring, as well as performance skiing and racing.
Serving Anchorage's Nordic ski community requires the year-round commitment of a small but dedicated staff, hundreds of hard-working volunteers, and a fleet of specialized heavy equipment. More importantly, the generous support of our members and donors is what
makes all of this possible.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

KINCAID
Craig has groomed the Entire Park, except the Sisson, which was done yesterday,  and the long Lekisch.  There is new track everywhere and the skiing is excellent for both classic and skating.  Don't forget your sunglasses!
HILLSIDE
Tom says it's bright, sunny, white, beautiful and chilly on the Hillside today.  He and Chuck have been setting new track and combing the skate lanes all over and have groomed the Lighted Loops, Double Bubble, Gasline, Richter, and the Bog.  The Spencer was done yesterday, so they'll just clean up the skate lanes today.  They are grooming and working at the APU/Mahaffey Trails, moved some snow in some of the tunnels, groomed the Lake Otis Connectors and will address the MLK tunnel on their way back.  They also groomed at Trailside Elementary and the Tour of Anchorage Trail.  They should have it all wrapped up by 5:30 or so, just in time for some great evening skiing.  Maybe a moonlight ski is in order later tonight?  Enjoy!
CHUGIAK/EAGLE RIVER
Bill went out last night and groomed the Coyote Trails at Mirror Lake Middle School, Eagle River HS and the trails on Yosemite Dr..  They may be a little soft, however the skiing will be great for both classic and skating.  Enjoy the sunshine!
"UWAX is Back" Kincaid weather hotline is back online 248-UWAX (248-8929) will give Time, Temp in F, Wind direction, wind speed & humidity. Listen closely, - Hal, the automated voice, is a bit hard to understand. Huge thank you to Karl Volz for making that happen.
