Our mission is to promote all forms of Nordic skiing as a healthy activity for all ages and abilities. Among our core activities are maintaining and grooming over 140 kilometers of ski trails for recreation and touring, as well as performance skiing and racing.
Serving Anchorage's Nordic ski community requires the year-round commitment of a small but dedicated staff, hundreds of hard-working volunteers, and a fleet of specialized heavy equipment. More importantly, the generous support of our members and donors is what
makes all of this possible.

Matt was out this morning and groomed the Lake Loop and Horseshoe and said they came out great.  He also took care of the Multi-Use Trail, but mentioned that it will need some additional packing, however, it's good to go.  Classic skiing will be excellent today and with the colder temperatures, the trails are setting up nicely.
Craig has groomed the Mize, Margaux's, Jodhpur, Lekisch and the Sisson.  Peter has made multiple passes on the Stadium and all these trails are in fantastic condition for both classic and skating .  Enjoy the sunshine!
Chuck was out yesterday doing the initial "pack down", but then the snow just kept coming.  Tom mentioned that over the course of 36 hours, the Hillside received about 15" of gorgeous, new snow!  So, today Tom has set new track on the Lighted Loops, Double Bubble and Gasline and will follow by cleaning up the skate lanes.  He was heading over to the Stadium at Service HS to give that some attention as well.  He mentioned that the trails are coming out a little "bermy" in places but plans to fine tune them tomorrow.  This afternoon he'll hit the outer trails.  APU is on his "to do" list for this week.  There is a lot to be done and he so greatly appreciates your understanding and patience!  The trails are in excellent condition for classic and skating.  Have a great day.
Bill was out this morning and turned over the whole park at Beach Lake.  The trails are in great condition for both classic and skating.   The other area trails are on his "to do" list.  Enjoy the skiing!
