Our mission is to promote all forms of Nordic skiing as a healthy activity for all ages and abilities. Among our core activities are maintaining and grooming over 140 kilometers of ski trails for recreation and touring, as well as performance skiing and racing.
Serving Anchorage's Nordic ski community requires the year-round commitment of a small but dedicated staff, hundreds of hard-working volunteers, and a fleet of specialized heavy equipment. More importantly, the generous support of our members and donors is what
makes all of this possible.

Happy Tour of Anchorage...eve! Saturday, March 2, 12:39 pm

The groomers are getting together this afternoon to finalize the "plan" and organize the fleet.  They are anxious to get started and anticipate an awesome course for tomorrow's Tour.  Good luck to all who are racing.

Here are a few pearls of wisdom the groomers would like to share with you:

Do not wait until the conditions are perfect to begin. Beginning makes the conditions perfect.

Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try.

No matter how long you have traveled in the wrong direction, you always have the choice to turn around.

Sitting on the right track is equivalent to racing down the wrong track.

Growth begins at the end of your comfort zone.

You might think you’re not good enough, but you’ll surprise yourself when you try.

Don’t worry about others doing better than you. Concentrate on beating your own records every day. Success is a battle between YOU and YOURSELF only.

Being defeated is often a temporary condition. Giving up is what makes it permanent.

The one who wins the race in the long run is usually not the strongest or the fastest, but the one who has tried the hardest.

Dead last finish is greater than did not finish which trumps did not start.

These thoughts are from the "Marc and Angel Hack Life" blog.

By the way...the skiing is great at ALL the venues today!  Enjoy!
