Matt called this morning to report that he has repaired the 4-wheeler damage on the Lake Loop. It's a little lumpy but plenty skiable. He also groomed the Multi-Use Trail.
Today Craig and Bill are working on the Coastal Trail smoothing out the mega-drifts that have accumulated. They groomed from Kincaid to the Lagoon and back. Might be a primo opportunity to hit that section in preparation for the Tour!
All trails are looking good for both classic and skate.
On Tuesday, Tom and Chuck spent the day brushing on the Tour Trail in preparation for this weekend's race. Last night and this morning they worked at APU laying down the stadium and grooming the Mahaffey Trails over to Chester Creek and back to Hillside. At Hillside they cleaned up the skate lanes and put down new track on all the Lighted Loops, Gasline, and the Richter and Bog Trail. Chuck was at Hillside this morning (after cutting more brush on the Tour trail near Tudor Rd.) and has dressed up the skate lanes and took a spin on the Spencer. Enjoy the sunshine and the trails are in great shape for skating and classic today!
As mentioned above, Bill is out helping Craig knock down some of the snow drifts on the Coastal Trail today in preparation for the Tour of Anchorage race this Sunday. Bartlett was groomed yesterday and is in great shape. Bill plans to dress up his other venues as soon as he can, however they are still in great shape for both classic and skating. Enjoy!
