Our mission is to promote all forms of Nordic skiing as a healthy activity for all ages and abilities. Among our core activities are maintaining and grooming over 140 kilometers of ski trails for recreation and touring, as well as performance skiing and racing.
Serving Anchorage's Nordic ski community requires the year-round commitment of a small but dedicated staff, hundreds of hard-working volunteers, and a fleet of specialized heavy equipment. More importantly, the generous support of our members and donors is what
makes all of this possible.

Matt called this morning and said the snow stopped falling around 10:30 last night.  He was able to put down some beautiful tracks on the Lake Loop, Horseshoe, and the Multi-Use trails.  He left around midnight but Ricky stayed on and continued to groom the rest of the park and the race course for today's HS Regional Skate Race.  The temperature dropped and the trails have set up well and and skiing is excellent for both classic and skating.  Have a great weekend!

Tom was out on the Hillside until about 2 am this morning and was busy grooming for a skiers utopia.  He hit the Tour of Anchorage Trail, APU and everything on the Hillside providing awesome skiing for both classic and skating.  The Spencer and Richter Loops have about 4" of fresh powder creating a great touring opportunity.  He hopes to get on those trails later today, if all goes well, so get it while it lasts!

Bill was out last night and created a magical skiing experience at Beach Lake for the weekend crowds.  He groomed all the trails on the Chalet side of S. Birchwood Loop.  Expect a bit of fresh snow on last night's grooming as it didn't stop snowing until 1:30 am.   This morning he created more magic on the High School side, which consists of the Stadium and the Christy Loop.  It was 14 degrees this morning in Chugiak, so the trails have set up and will be excellent for classic and skating.  He saw a skier out getting great glide just as he was leaving.
The Coyote Trails at Mirror Lake Middle School are freshly tracked and in superb condition today for classic and skating...not a soul around, blue skies and 5K all to yourself!!  It's worth the trip!
4:00 pm
Bartlett, Eagle River High School and Yosemite Dr. are ready to go for classic and skate.  Enjoy!
