Our mission is to promote all forms of Nordic skiing as a healthy activity for all ages and abilities. Among our core activities are maintaining and grooming over 140 kilometers of ski trails for recreation and touring, as well as performance skiing and racing.
Serving Anchorage's Nordic ski community requires the year-round commitment of a small but dedicated staff, hundreds of hard-working volunteers, and a fleet of specialized heavy equipment. More importantly, the generous support of our members and donors is what
makes all of this possible.

This morning Craig called and said that he has groomed the Lake Loop and the Horseshoe and set double tracks on those trails.  He said he'd have the Multi-Use Trail ready to go by 11:00 this morning.  Last night Ben beautified the Jodhpur and Margaux's and they're in excellent shape for both classic and skating.  Last day for the State HS Championship races!  Enjoy the show!
Tom is out today and has set new tracks and skate lanes on all the Lighted Loops, the Spencer, Double Bubble and the Gasline.  He said he'd have the Richter and the Ridge packed and tracked by Noon.  Yesterday it snowed about 6" and Tom said it's all packing nicely and setting up great providing awesome skiing today for classic and skating.
Tom did dress up the Tour Trail to the Campbell Airstrip and back.  He said he ran into a lot of Fur Rodezvous Sled Dog Race traffic, so he retreated.  He wants to wait until after this busy weekend to get on APU...most likely on Monday.
Bill was out late last night dressing up the trails at Beach Lake.  There will be a Skijoring Race there today using most of the trails on the Chalet side of  S. Birchwood Loop from Noon-3:00ish.  Have fun skijorers!!
Bill will hit those trails again tonight in preparation for tomorrow's Ski The Beach race.  Registration starts at Noon and the race begins at 2:00.  There will be three different courses for Polar Cubs, Jr. Nordic kids and adults.  A good time had by the whole family!
If all goes well today for Bill and the newly mended track on the Pisten Bully, he'll head out to Mirror Lake Middle School and the Coyote Trail System and ER High School and Yosemite Dr.   Good Luck Bill!
