Our mission is to promote all forms of Nordic skiing as a healthy activity for all ages and abilities. Among our core activities are maintaining and grooming over 140 kilometers of ski trails for recreation and touring, as well as performance skiing and racing.
Serving Anchorage's Nordic ski community requires the year-round commitment of a small but dedicated staff, hundreds of hard-working volunteers, and a fleet of specialized heavy equipment. More importantly, the generous support of our members and donors is what
makes all of this possible.

Monday, February 11, 11:12 am *Update 3:10pm*

Kincaid received 3" of snow last night and it was 26 degrees when Craig got there this morning.  As of 11:00 am, he had groomed the Mize and the Sisson with fresh track.  He plans to have the whole park, with the exception of the Lake Loop, Horseshoe and the Multi-Use trails (which he'll probably hit tomorrow), ready to go by 2:00 this afternoon.  He's been chasing people skiing with their dogs off the trails today. Other than that, the trails are laying down beautifully!
Tom was very surprised when he reached the Hillside this morning to find 9-12" of new snow!  He groomed and put down fresh track in the Entire Park with the Pisten Bully, with the exception of the Bog Trail...where he groomed with the snowmachine without track.  He said the trails are a little "bermy" in some areas, but will be better after tomorrow's grooming.  He's planning to hit the Tour Trail and APU tomorrow.
Bill went out this morning and groomed Beach Lake Trails with fresh track.  The entire park is groomed with the exception of the Meander.

"UWAX is Back" Kincaid weather hotline is back online 248-UWAX (248-8929) will give Time, Temp in F, Wind direction, wind speed & humidity. Listen closely, - Hal, the automated voice, is a bit hard to understand. Huge thank you to Karl Volz for making that happen.
