Our mission is to promote all forms of Nordic Skiing as a healthy form of individual and family activity. There are many diverse aspects of this mission including maintaining and grooming over 170 kilometers of world-class ski trails designed for touring, performance skiing, and racing. KINCAID
Well, Craig has been out making an effort to clean up some of the trails.  He said the tracks are holding up well and the skating is fast.  He groomed the Mize (watch for spots of dirt at the top of Puffin Climb), the Jodhpur and Margaux's (watch for spots of dirt at the top of Burky's Climb and on Rollercoaster).
Ricky is out doing his best to spruce up Bartlett today.
HILLSIDE
Tom took the Pisten Bully out today and groomed the Gasline, Double Bubble and the Besh.  He said the tracks on the Gasline are starting to wash out and will give them some attention tomorrow.  The Spencer is on tomorrow's list as well.  Skating is fast and fun.
CHUGIAK/EAGLE RIVER
The most recently groomed trails at Beach Lake are the Sprint Loop, around the Chalet, Mama's, North Pasture, Bridge Loop, Appendix Loop, Corral Loop, Low Road, Swamp, No Way, part of the Christy Loop and the Stadium at Chugiak H.S. There are still patches of ice here and there and a fair amount of debris from the wind, so please ski with caution. All other trails are too dangerous!  Bob went over some of the trails last night after Jr. Nordic and "fluffed" them up a bit.  Skiing was actually really good...considering.

"UWAX is Back" Kincaid weather hotline is back online 248-UWAX (248-8929) will give Time, Temp in F, Wind direction, wind speed & humidity. Listen closely, - Hal, the automated voice, is a bit hard to understand. Huge thank you to Karl Volz for making that happen.
