YOUR MEMBERSHIP MATTERS!

Our mission is to promote all forms of Nordic skiing as a healthy activity for all ages and abilities. Among our core activities are maintaining and grooming over 140 kilometers of ski trails for recreation and touring, as well as performance skiing and racing.
Serving Anchorage's Nordic ski community requires the year-round commitment of a small but dedicated staff, hundreds of hard-working volunteers, and a fleet of specialized heavy equipment. More importantly, the generous support of our members and donors is what
makes all of this possible.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

KINCAID
Craig called in about 9:45 this morning and said the park received from 3-4" of snow last night, and that it was still snowing and the winds were gusting.   He had groomed the Mize and the Sisson at that point and plans to have the entire park finished by 2:00 this afternoon...if everything goes well.  He wants to get the new snow stuck down before it all blows away!
HILLSIDE
Tom took the Pisten Bully out today and groomed All Lighted Loops, Gasline, and Double Bubble with track!  He said they got about 3" of new snow last night.  As of 2 pm, he was cutting some brush and grooming the Richter and the Spencer with a snowmachine.
CHUGIAK/EAGLE RIVER
Beach Lake Trails received only1" (or less) of new snow last night.  Bill was out in the wee hours this morning putting down double best line for the Middle School Race this afternoon at 3:30.  He will be back later tonight after Jr. Nordic to take the course out and regroom the entire park.

"UWAX is Back" Kincaid weather hotline is back online 248-UWAX (248-8929) will give Time, Temp in F, Wind direction, wind speed & humidity. Listen closely, - Hal, the automated voice, is a bit hard to understand. Huge thank you to Karl Volz for making that happen.
