Our mission is to promote all forms of Nordic skiing as a healthy activity for all ages and abilities. Among our core activities are maintaining and grooming over 140 kilometers of ski trails for recreation and touring, as well as performance skiing and racing.
Serving Anchorage's Nordic ski community requires the year-round commitment of a small but dedicated staff, hundreds of hard-working volunteers, and a fleet of specialized heavy equipment. More importantly, the generous support of our members and donors is what
makes all of this possible.

It was 25 degrees when Matt went out early this morning in the Pisten Bully.  He dressed up the Stadium with new tracks and spread snow over some of the dirty spots.  He scratched up the skate lanes and put down new track on Dark Alley, Elliott's Climb, World Cup and the roadside Multi-Use trail.  It's "highly skiable" and other trails are still good from yesterday.  Thanks Matt!

Yesterday, Bill made 12 passes on the Bridge, Appendix, Corral and North Pasture.  Today, he made 12 passes on the Sprint, Mama's, Low Road, Swamp and the Stadium.  He said it's not great, but skiable and to please exercise extreme caution and common sense as there are still a few icy spots, even where it's been groomed.  Also, please do not attempt to go on ungroomed trails as they are just too dangerous.

"UWAX is Back" Kincaid weather hotline is back online 248-UWAX (248-8929) will give Time, Temp in F, Wind direction, wind speed & humidity. Listen closely, - Hal, the automated voice, is a bit hard to understand. Huge thank you to Karl Volz for making that happen.
