8:00am Report

Good morning skiers!

Skiing in the city of Anchorage shouldn't be this good in early April -- but it is. With new snow from the weekend and clear, cold skies overnight we have the perfect combination for some great conditions. Not to mention that it's a beautiful day. We got an early start this morning at Kincaid and suffice it to say that conditions are looking pretty darn good. The trails don't look as pristine this time of year compared to January; for example, you'll see occasional gnarly spots that reveal some grooming struggles that are part of late season grooming, but overall things look great.

Here's what we have for you:

Kincaid
Trails groomed early this morning include Lighted Loops, Horseshoe Loop (single skate lane), and new tracks on parts of the Lake Loop (best to access from Raspberry).

Hillside
Grooming in progress on all popular trails. The optimum time for Hillside will begin around 11am.

Have a great day out there!
